Meet Ms. Cope – Physical Education & Health Teacher

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Cope, and I’m so excited to kick off my first year teaching Physical Education and Health! I’m originally from Long Valley, New Jersey, and I recently moved to Brick. I’m thrilled to be joining the school community and can’t wait to get started with all of you!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Kinesiology with a minor in Special Education from West Virginia University. I began my college journey at SUNY Canton in New York, where I played collegiate softball. After transferring to WVU, I turned my passion for the sport into coaching and helped lead the Morgantown High School softball team to back-to-back OVAC conference championships during the 2024–2025 season.

While at WVU, I was also involved in Best Buddies, a program that builds friendships and promotes inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and WVU PAWS, an animal welfare group that supports rescue and fostering efforts.

About My Classes
I truly love teaching Physical Education and Health because they give students the tools to lead strong, confident, and healthy lives through the mind, body and spirit.  In PE, we’ll work on building skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and most importantly, learning how to have fun while moving! In Health class, we’ll explore topics like nutrition, mental wellness, personal safety, and the importance of making positive choices.

Gym Class Reminders
On days you have PE, please remember to:

* Wear your school gym uniform
* Bring and wear sneakers – no sneakers, no participation!

Being prepared helps keep everyone safe and allows us to get the most out of our time in the gym.
