National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a premier national organization established to recognize middle level students. St. Dominic School NJHS is not just an honor roll, but serves to honor students entering seventh and eighth grade who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
Eligibility for NJHS is determined by the cumulative grade point average at the end of 6th grade, which must meet or exceed our chapter’s standard for Scholarship currently set at a 93.0 GPA. Eligible candidates must fill out a candidate form demonstrating leadership and service participation, and submit a letter of recommendation substantiating their Christian values and character. If selected for membership, students must maintain the 93.0 cumulative GPA through the end of 8th grade.
